1. Acceptance of terms
Welcome to MediaGo. MediaGo is a desktop video download and processing app developed by the Torchstellar team ("we"). By downloading, installing or using the software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the software.
2. Software license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and run MediaGo on your personal computer.
- Personal edition: personal, non-commercial use only.
- Professional / Enterprise edition: commercial-use rights are governed by the license you purchased.
Prohibited:
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling or disassembling the software.
- Cracking, modifying or bypassing the digital rights management or license-verification mechanism.
- Renting, leasing, lending, redistributing or sublicensing the software.
3. User responsibility and compliance
MediaGo is provided strictly as a technical tool. When you use it to download content, you must comply with all applicable laws and the source site's terms of service.
- Copyright: you are responsible for the content you download. Only download content you own the copyright to or are otherwise legally authorized to access.
- Illegal use: you may not use the software to download illegal, infringing, pornographic or violent content.
MediaGo bears no legal responsibility for content you download with the software.
4. Purchase and refund policy
We strive to provide a high-quality experience. For paid users, we offer:
- Payment: we accept WeChat Pay and Alipay.
- 7-day refund guarantee: if within 7 days of purchase the software cannot run on your computer due to a technical issue (e.g. crashes, broken core features) and our support team cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, you may request a full refund.
- Non-refundable: we may decline refund requests caused by buyer's remorse, the wrong edition being purchased, or unmet system requirements.
5. Disclaimer
The MediaGo software is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties of any kind.
- Third-party site changes: video sites continually update encryption and anti-scraping. We can't guarantee permanent support for any specific site. We update on a best-effort basis but make no absolute commitments.
- Limitation of liability: in no event will we be liable for data loss, lost profits or device failures arising from use of the software.
6. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of the software constitutes acceptance.
7. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are interpreted and applied under the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
